Food Pantries Under Pressure: What it means for our Community

  • Shrinking supplies: Federal cuts mean fewer food deliveries to local pantries like Eagle’s Wings.
  • No extra food: Eagle’s Wings can’t get more food from the bank, even with more clients, forcing them to buy food themselves.
  • Risk for seniors: Federal cuts may reduce food support for low-income seniors.
  • Rising demand: Inflation and school breaks bring more families seeking help, but resources are tight.
  • Ripple effect: Other food pantries and soup kitchens rely on Eagle’s Wings for surplus supplies.
